In 2018, I had been singing back-up for the Calypso Monarch Competition for 2 years. It made me curious as to how Calypso music is constructed.
I sat down with the Honourable Paul Lewis, Herman ‘Cupid’ Francis, Justin ‘Hero’ Cassell, Jester ‘Ice Man’ Weekes and Cecil ‘Cepeke’ Lake to find out more about the calypso art form.
